

Manchester Locomotive Works
What we know for sure is that locomotive 508 was built by Manchester Locomotive Works Company in 1885. I got a package in the mail today from Carl Riff of Hamilton Ontario sharing a very interesting story with me. The story of the Mulberry locomotive which is also a Manchester locomotive...date unknown. I beleive this illustrates real well what locomotive 508 would likely look like if still resting at the bottom of the Saint John River. I like what they did with it by siml


Sonar Survey #2
It wasn't warm but we had a great time on the river today doing another sonar survey but this time with the MS 1000 (same as model used on Oak Island). This sonar replaced the sonar device we had back in 2004 and has a lot more features than the previous model. Even with the cold weather we did manage to further investigate the area around hole #3 and saw some interesting features down there. The next step is to go tie in the new holes with the GPS so we can stitch all of


Engine Dimensions
Received some interesting pics from Daryl Demerchant this morning. The following images are pretty close to what we are looking for in the Saint John River.
